Training session/Tryout with WWE’s Jerry Brisco and Jim Ross

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 11, 2011

Missouri Wrestling Revival is proud to announce that we have been invited to cover this amazing weekend for Pro Wrestling in the Midwest.

——————————————————————————

Hello, each year the Lou Thesz/George Tragos Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame presents their annual induction ceremony weekend. The Hall of Fame is in a beautiful wing of the The Dan Gable International Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum. One of the goals of this museum is to bring an awareness to both amateur and professional wrestling. You can learn more about the museum at wrestlingmuseum.org. It is located in downtown Waterloo,… Iowa.

This is to inform you about a unique training/tryout opportunity taking place on Friday, July 22nd at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center. This year, longtime talent scout for the WWE, JERRY BRISCO will be on hand to evaluate talent. He will be there as in an official capacity as a WWE employee. Also on hand to evaluate talent and give pointers will be JIM ROSS. This tryout is for experienced professional wrestlers only. It will have the following format.

At 3PM on Friday July 22nd, there will be a live show for a few VIP fans and other invited guests associated with the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame. This “show” will be the training session. You will have a match in full gear in front of a crowd and will be watched by Jerry Brisco and Jim Ross. AFTER the show, Jim Ross and Jerry Brisco will give individual evaluations on what you did well and what you need to work on.
In addition certain regional promoters have been invited to watch as well giving you hard-to-come-by exposure to promoters you would like to wrestle for.

The cost of the tryout/training match is $125.00. If you have someone you would like to wrestle in particular, you can sign up together. Otherwise an opponent will be chosen for you. Due to the nature of the session, and the tight time schedule of the events for the day, spots are limited to 18. As of April, 10th 2011, only 10 spots are still available. Payment is due by July 15th.

For those of you with no wrestling experience there will be a training session starting at 12:30 PM July 22nd. This will cover basic wrestling moves and be more of a fantasy-type camp. The cost of this session is $50 and includes a ticket to watch the afternoon training session show and also the evening Impact Pro Wrestling show featuring Jim Ross, Jerry Brisco, Baron Von Raschke, Terry Funk, and HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN TO WRESTLE! Many more legends of the sport will be on hand as well.

To join either training session, please contact Troy Peterson at wresshow@yahoo.com. If you are signing up for the advanced camp and we are unfamiliar with your wrestling experience, we may ask for additional information before allowing you to sign up. Thank you and whether or not you plan on training, you should take the weekend of July 22nd and join a great wrestling weekend. It is a wonderful chance to network and just have a good time.

Support your local MWR wrestler 2011!

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 11, 2011

By Brian Kelley

We are proud to say that MWR shirts have been worn around the Midwest for the past 3 plus years. With the introduction of our own brand of MWR Trading cards last year the site has grown at a steady pace with the support of many of our friends.

Photobucket

#1 Brett Young debut of his Fear the Stache T-shirt this weekend was given rave reviews from the fans at Metro Pro Wrestling.

One of the most popular items on the site is Dubi meets the fans, where the fans cane meet their heroes and have them included on the very site.

I love going to shows around the Midwest to see the hard hitting action from bell to bell but one of my favorite part of each night is to watch the wrestlers come out during intermission to meet the fans.

Photobucket

The fans love the Madman, Pick up his shirt and MWR Card and send your address with a picture of you with both and the big man to MWR for a FREE Gift.

What we have come up with is a fun way for you to be a part of the site in our brand new feature called “The fans support the wrestlers around the Midwest”

How it works, all you have to do is go to a promotion that is the MWR Coverage area and purchase a t-shirt from your favorite wrestler then send us a picture of you wearing it. Bonus points for wearing it with the star himself.

Photobucket
Mason Beck has one of the most popular shirts right now.

How would you like a FREE GIFT from MWR?

Missouri Wrestling Revival would like to offer our fans a chance to have a FREE gift sent to them for their participating in the MWR Trading card/ Wrestler t-shirt promotion. How this works is, all you have to do is wear theT-shirt of your favorite wrestler and purchasing a MWR Trading Card from them as well. Then snap a picture of you wearing the shirt and holding up their card with them beside you, send us the picture and your address to receive a FREE gift from MWR.

So please head to promotions to catch up with stars such as Sir Bradley Charles in Metro Pro Wrestling in Kansas City or in Iowa’s PWP for the Northstar Express in Council Bluffs or Mike Sydal at 3XWrestling in Des Moines, or head to the ST Louis area to IHW to look for Mephisto , Evan Money at MECW, Santana G at HVW, Dave Vaughn at MMWA-SICW, Brian Breaker at WLW, the Mississippi Madman at NMW, Brandon Aarons at PWE Brandon Espinosa at AAPW.  Mark Sterling  at NWA Dynamo or even Ring of Honor World Champion Eddie Edwards.

Photobucket

MsChif is one of the very best in the World, and we are proud to have her at #4 on the MWR Trading Card set. Buy her shirt and MWR card to get a FREE gift from MWR.

We do not know the availability of each wrestlers own t-shirt or if they have any of their cards still in hand so when you go to the merchandise table just ask them if they have their shirt and MWR Trading Card with them.

Good luck with this special wrestling scavenger hunt.

Please one gift per fan, while supplies last.

Dubi meets the Modern Championship Wrestling fans.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 9, 2011

Hello MWR fans Dubray Tallman here back with a brand new Dubi meets the fans and for the first time we brought the Dubi meets the Fans at Modern Championship Wrestling. One of our personal friends the Iceman is currently the MCW No Limits Champion so we were happy to cheer him on as he took on the challenge of “Superstar” Steve Fender.

Boy we were not the only one, it seemed as if every fan in attendance for this evening was there to see the Iceman. Prior to the show we asked him to be our MWR Wrestler of the night and throw our shirt to one lucky fan in Marceline Missouri prior to his match.

The kids were really excited with the masked wrestler from Mexico Angel de la Muerte yet when I went to find him I was told he was already left the building to head home to get some burritos so the Iceman was kind enough to volunteer to take some photos with the star. Luckily the masked star came back to the arena looking for his piñata and when asked to have his photo taken was more than happy to.
Photobucket

First up was Edward Withey who was one of those boys was excited to meet Angel de la Muerte.

Photobucket

Next up was Jeffery Crookshanks who had the opportunity to have his photo taken with the No Limits Champion the Iceman.

Photobucket

In the front row was a group of children cheering all nights for their favorite while booing the ones they disliked. Clayton Wilson, Landen Gardner and Anden McNeil were all smiles during Angel’s match and their face lit up with the masked Mexican came back to the building.

Photobucket

During the night Tony Raze manager the Warden turned on him prior to his match with the Mauler. Before his match I was able to get a rare chance to have my picture taken with the man who has the Midwest wrestling scene on lockdown.

Photobucket

At the end of the night the Iceman was able withstand the offense of Fender though he was walking with a noticeable limp afterwards he came out to get his photo taken with young Tommy Eads and his father Jeff to end MWR’S night at MCW in Mareline Missouri.

I would like to thank MCW and each and everyone of you fans that have been out to check out a show near you.

Till next time. Love you as always

Your friend
Dubray Tallaman
