The ring is well-lit, the crowd reeling to see its favorite high-flying missiles. And the ropes? The ropes are ready. It will be only minutes before the first 250 pounds of accelerating flesh is tossed effortlessly into them.
Lights! Pomp! Announcer circumstance! Fast-forward to the good stuff, 8 minutes in.
The wrestler who goes by the name Mark Sterling is down already, tangled in his own limbs and moaning, supine, at the center of the ring. Let him be. Let that man writhe. He deserves it. Heel.
Wrestling fans mark your calendar for August 13th to be in Kansas City for Metro Pro Wrestling.
A rematch for the MPW TV title as champion Michael Strider will defend against the demented Derek Stone.
Let’s take a look at the last time these two in a very scary battle from this past June.
If Strider vs. Stone was the only match that night then it would still be worth the price of admission but that’s not all !!!

At one time Ms Natural was among the top women wrestlers in the world with 5 World League Wrestling Ladies reigns to her resume. Ms Natural is just now starting to hit her stride and shaking the ring rust off. This does not fare well for the other three females.

Teams work together to reach the highest heights, Like Batman and Robin some become great. Who at this point will go down in history as the very best tag team during the MWR years is now up for debate.
By Brian Kelley Missouri Wrestling Revival
Fans can be passionate about who they believe are the very best in the game. Recently I have sat down with some of the great minds in wrestling to discuss just who is top 30 tag teams of the MWR years. The experts wanted me to let you the fans or even the wrestlers themselves to send in a reason of why your favorite tag team is the best during the years.
Obviously the three former MWR Tag Teams of the Years, the Northstar Express, The Hooligans and Attitude Inc. will be on there but who will get that top spot? Who will be left out and who will squeak into the list.
To be included on the list there accomplishments during the years 2007 till today while wrestling at the MWR Promotions. With great debate it has been determined that New Midwest Wrestling tag teams will be added on during the time of 2010 to now due to the fact that we had not covered them prior to then. That is not a knock to our friends at NMW but an honest answer to why we are unable to honestly place them on the list.
What was taken in consideration for their rankings will be
1) Titles held
2) Length of tenure
3) Competition
4) Impact in the sport
5) Talent
Now some will meet all of those requirements while others will be so strong in one area that will catapult them into their spot.

Barry Ryte is back where he belongs...in the wrestling ring causing fits for his opponents *Photo Credit Brian Kelley*
Life was going great for Barry Ryte. He had been successful in Chicago at Windy City Pro Wrestling while making his way to St Louis for MECW where he captured the Great Plains Trophy. His name was out there as one of the top young stars in the sport today, so much that he was invited to the ECWA Super 8 tournament.
Then the news hit, he was diagnosed with Cancer.
Just as he does in the wrestling ring, Ryte showed no fear as he took a break to fight the horriable disease. Always a fighter Barry Ryte, would not only come back but has looked better than ever since his return.
Nicknamed the Survivor from his fans Barry Ryte is looking to take on all challengers as he reaches for his goal to become a champion.
It is with great pleasure that we have Barry Ryte as the number 52 card in the MWR Trading card series.

Missouri Wrestling Revival fans found out during an exclusive article with Michael Moore from PWTorch.comthat the hottest trading card series in wrestling today was going to get even hotter with the announcement of Jessie Belle Smothers to the set.
Ever since the PWTorch interview fans have been contacting us about when will Jessie Belle Smothers come to the Midwest. Photo credit Walter Lippmann
Jessie Belle Smothers, the daughter of wrestling rebel Tracey Smothers has the charisma and looks that you will not soon forget.
I have to admit that I have been keeping a secret for some time now that I can no longer keep. We here at MWR have been in the talks with one of the hottest young stars today, the rocker “Diamond Steel” Ryan Howe about producing a Diamond Steel Ryan Howe MWR trading card.
WWE Tough Enough’s Ryan Howe is looking for the best competition. *Photo credit Pamela Barnett*
Fans are sure to remember Howe from this seasons WWE Tough Enough on the USA Network that was hosted by “Stone Cold” Steve Austin with trainers Booker T, Trish Stratus and Bill DeMott.
Since the show, Howe has been using those skills he learned from the WWE Tough Enough trainers to his advantage as he has been blazing a name for himself wherever he goes.
There is no doubt that we will get to see Diamond Steel and Jessie Belle Smothers invade the Midwest soon.
How would Jessie Belle Smothers fare at Metro Pro Wrestling against Miss Natural, Lucy Mendez at WLW or at 3XWrestling against Melanie Cruise?
Or how about new Pro Wrestling Epic champion Brandon Espinosa against Ryan Howe, or the MECW Champion Bailey Mannix and just how would MMWA-SICW powerhouse Ron Powers counter Howe’s electric ring style?
Promoters that would like to book either of these wrestlers contact them via
From Metro Pro Wrestling – Jeremy Wyatt puts his NWA Central States Title on the line against Sir Bradley Charles. If SBC loses, he must join Wyatt and the Girthy Management Group. If Wyatt loses, not only does he lose his title, but the GMG must also disband.
