Jonathan Gresham supports MWR in the UK with Preston City Wrestling.
Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 26, 2012
There is no doubt that Jonathan Gresham is one of the truly exciting young stars today. Gresham is a man who has been trained by former WWE Star Curtis Hughes and has traveled around the world. Everyone here at MWR was honored to have him join the MWR family with his great MWR Trading card at number 31.
So to say that we were thrilled to see Jonathan Gresham wearing a MWR T-shirt on the cover of a United Kingdom DVD cover for Preston City Wrestling this week would be an understatement.
Though MWR is a promotion that supports wrestling in the Midwest, the number one goal is not to make the stars here a big fish in a small pond but get their name out worldwide so fans can see truly how good they are. That’s why it is great to have stars such as Davey Richards, El Generico, Rob Conway, U-Gene, Trevor Murdock, The Briscoe Brothers, Jimmy Jacobs, Eddie Edwards and Jonathan Gresham in the trading card set and featured in promotions of the MWR coverage area.
Jonathan Gresham would make his way to the UK to take on the superstar “Take me out” Marty Scurll along with 7 more huge matches in this DVD release!!!
From the promoters of PCW
Preston City Wrestling is one of the UK’s fastest growing Wrestling Promotion! They aim to be the best and will continue to put on quality shows using the UK’s best wrestlers and others from around the world.
PCW are the only fed in England that sell full HD Blu Rays and they are all multi region to work around the world.
From the promoters of PCW- PCW fans – this is a rough first edit of the Money In The Bank match from PCW Festive Fury.
It is in no way the final cut that will appear on Blu Ray – I uploaded it so PCW fans could see the quality of the equipment we are now using and as a bit of a thank you from PCW & myself for supporting the promotion during 2011.
This version will only be made public for a short period of time – so please help us spread the word of the quality of the match & footage on both Facebook & on UKFF – especially in the British Match of The Year award thread – it would be great to have PCW & the wrestlers involved in this match recognized and help us to keep bringing you the best British wrestling throughout 2012 and beyond.
Thank you for your support!

The Art of Wrestling: KC artist Rob Schamberger wants to paint all 208 pro-wrestling champions by Justin Kendall
Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 25, 2012
By Rob Schamberger’s count, pro wrestling has crowned 208 world heavyweight champions. And by the time he finishes painting all 208 — and there will likely be more champions by the time he’s done — he’ll probably wish there were fewer.
“When Colt Cabana beat Adam Pearce, I was like, Oh, Jesus — 209,” Schamberger says. “Then I saw that he’d held it before, so that was good.”
The idea came, says the 32-year-old Kansas Citian, in a temporary “moment of insanity.” His vision: Paint every world champion in pro-wrestling history, from Hulk Hogan to Georg Hackenschmidt to … David Arquette? (The actor won World Championship Wrestling’s world title in 2000.)
“When I announced the project, one of the first questions I got … was, ‘Are you actually going to do David Arquette?’ And I’m like, ‘I said I’m doing all of ’em.’”
In a Twitter message to Schamberger, Arquette committed to buying his painting.
“You are a sick artist man,” the actor wrote. “I’m ordering a painting of myself as the Champ.”

Meanwhile, at their May 5 event, there will be having a Battle Royal to determine the new Metro Pro Champion. The NWA Central States Champion will be decided on June 2.

NEW MATCH SIGNED! Jorden Jensen vs. Rachel Summerlyn SLA Anarchy May 5th.
Posted by flairwhoooooo on April 24, 2012
At SLA’S May 2011 event “Tigers Blood the Art of Winning” Rachel Summerlyn stated that she did not want to only face Joshi’s in the land of Anarchy, she also wanted to face men. She isnt happy with just being called one of the best woman wrestlers in the USA. She wants to be one of the best wrestlers period. SLA new comer Serenity has kind of thrown Rachel off that path by attacking her at every turn since we came into the year 2012.
However, on May 5th Rachel will get her chance to finally face a male talent one on one when she faces Jordan Jensen. Jensen is a brash new comer to the land of Anarchy who has made his feelings known about how he feels he is leading the “new generation” of wrestlers into Anarchy and he is looking to throw out the “old guard” as he says. This will be Jensen’s first trip to the STL side of Anarchy and he is looking to walk away with the win as well as bragging rights.
