STATEMENT FROM SEAN CHAMBERS

Posted by flairwhoooooo on December 16, 2012

Editor’s note: Since the beginning of MWR, All American Pro Wrestling and promoter Sean Chambers has been a strong supporter of our website. I have the utmost respect for Sean and his desire to bring respectable, old school family friendly wrestling to his area.

He had not just talked about it but indeed has accomplished that in the years that I have known him. In the MWR Years he has hosted many charity events, meet and greets with TNA and former WWE stars and top matches such as Jeremy Wyatt and Shane Rich, the LONRS vs. Phoenix Twins, while bringing to the fans AAPW fan favorites and villains like Edmund McGuire, Playboy Paul Rose, Ax Allwardt, and many more.

I share this message to you with his thoughts on the AAPW break up within his company that he had posted on his website regarding AAPW  Executive Producer Chris Hagstrom and Adam Testa leaving to start Pro Wrestling Collision , a story that we shared earlier this week. Both Chambers, Hagstrom and Testa have the support of myself and MWR in the future unless that ask not to.

On a personal level regardless of Sean’s decision to move on with AAPW or close doors, I will always consider him a friend and hope that both parties involved can find happiness and maybe just maybe to an understanding.

STATEMENT FROM SEAN CHAMBERS

Throughout Season 2 of AAPW Collision, fans knew me as Sean Chambers, Owner of the company whose actions and decisions were not popular with the fans. I am writing this as just Sean. Someone who was born and raised in Southern Illinois that is a lifelong wrestling fan. I grew up watching Wrestling at the Chase and ICW. I would go to the ICW events in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s when they came to Southern Illinois. I was an active wrestler that wanted to bring old school wrestling back to Southern Illinois. I did that for 7 years. (First year was ran under Absolute Pro Wrestling) I want to thank all of you that supported AAPW. I sincerely hope that I helped bring joy and entertainment to all of you.

On Thursday, December 13th, 2012 around 9:00 am, Chris Hagstrom informed me that he wished to start his own wrestling promotion. In doing so, he took practically the entire AAPW staff and roster with him. A statement on the new promotions Twitter account posted December 14th reads: “For all intents and purposes, we are the new AAPW….” I’m not sure how to take that statement as it is basically true. As I write this, it appears that all that is left of AAPW is a website, a Facebook profile, a trademarked name and logo, and me. Hagstrom and his staff intend to run shows in the same area that AAPW has ran. Southern Illinois is not a large market. From a business standpoint, it would not seem wise to have two promotions running in the same geographical area. I cannot say with certainty that AAPW is out of business nor can I say that AAPW will hold events in the future. That decision may possibly be best left to you the fans.

As for the circumstances leading up to this situation and my personal feelings, I feel it is best to not make any statements regarding the details at this time, as I am still bitter. I will say that I feel betrayed by those I trusted. There have been things said about the situation that are not completely accurate and I hope that all of you will bear in mind that there are two sides to the story.

I will not discourage any fan from supporting the new promotion. Fans know what they like and don’t like and it is absurd for me or anyone else to tell fans otherwise.

This website and the AAPW Facebook profile will remain active in the near future. I encourage all fans to post comments or send e-mails if you wish to show your support for AAPW, have thoughts or suggestions, wish to comment about past events, or even just to say hello.

In closing, I again would like to sincerely thank each of you that came to see an event through the years. You gave me an experience that will last a lifetime. I hope AAPW provided you with good memories as well. THANK YOU.

Sincerely,

Sean

MWR Trading card #95 “ The SHOGUN” Chris L.O.G.A.N

Wrestlers have to fear the intensity of The Shogun- Photo Credit Brian Kelley

We are excited to add one of the Midwest most viscous strikers in the first series of the MWR Trading card set as “The Shogun” Chris L.O.G.A.N debuts as number 95 as we countdown to a 100.

The Chicago native comes from the school of Sam Decero’s WCPW , and was able to make his debut in 2009 at the Battle of the Belts and has not stopped since. MWR Fans have seen the Shogun explode on the scene in Wood River, Illinois for MECW and this summer for Dynamo Pro Wrestling.

Very few in the Midwest combines true power and speed like the 6”0 250 pounds that the Shogun unleashes onto his unfortunate opponents. While the titles have been adding up in his short wrestling career there is no doubt that the best is yet to come.

L.O.G.A.N continues to impress at MECW and Dynamo in the MWR Coverage area, he is currently the Midwest Champion for JPW (Just Pro Wrestling) and making waves at Fusion Chicago Wrestling.
Once again it is with great pleasure that we add The Shogun to the MWR trading card set.

BRADY HICK’S IN THE ROOM with the NWA World Champion Kahagas now up for download!

Posted by flairwhoooooo on December 15, 2012

Photobucket

If you missed it click here and download it!!

What a special night, as IN THE ROOM welcomes the NWA World Heavyweight Champion, Kahagas. What are the champ’s thoughts as he tries to follow in the footsteps of great NWA titleholders of the past such as Ric Flair, Harley Race, Jack Briscoe, and Ronnie Garvin? Where does Kahagas see the NWA headed? And what is next for both The Tokyo Monster … and the NWA?

Plus, New Moon Rising Wrestling’s own “Hollister Punk Rocker” Glenn Storms checks in, headed into NMRW’s “December to Remember” in Deptford, NJ. You have to listen to hear what Storms has to say to both Robert Knight and “The Dean of Credibility” Dean Dixon. In addition, Brady Hicks, Derrick McDonald, Ray Bogusz, and ITR Female Co-host contest entrant Kathie Fitz talk more Miz and Kofi, TNA’s expansive Alamodome plans for Lockdown, what exactly is a PG “Shocker,” and take lots of listener calls. All that, and so …. much … more. Thanks, as always, for the support.
