Time for some match announcements for Ready to Rumble weekend on Nov. 13th and 14th. You can get your tickets at this link: http://m.bpt.me/event/2405872

STAGE ONE: We already know that Davey Vega will battle former TNA X-Division champion DJZ in a first time ever match up. Joining that match are these two bouts:

Jo Jo Bravo vs. Mat Fitchett: This will be a first time ever in Saint Louis Anarchy match up between two fan favorites. This match will also have a huge impact on the championship rankings as both are looking to get a shot at the champion.

Trik Davis vs. Matt Cage: This is also a first time match in Anarchy. Both of these men are trying to move up the ladder in SLA. Cage known for his strikes and fast pace will face a man in Davis known for his hold for hold wrestling. Both are great at their style and we will see who can pick up what will be a huge win.

STAGE TWO:
This event will of course feature a first time ever 30 person over the top rope royal rumble style battle royal for a chance to face the SLA champion at Gateway to Anarchy. We will also have other match ups on this event:

Matt Cage vs. Christian Rose: These guys have fought all over the midwest and we bring that rivalry to SLA for the first time. Cage is looking to move up the ladder in SLA while Rose is trying to get into the title picture. Both known for strikes so we very well could see a knock out in this one.

DJZ vs. Mr. Connors: When we signed DJZ for this weekend of events we said he will face a SLA main stay on Stage One and a up and comer at Stage Two. That up and comer will be The Cause member Mr. Connors. Connors had a impressive showing at Circus Maximus and is being thrown right into the frying pan in this one.

Ricky Cruz is the First MWR Missouri Champion, new Dynamo Pro Champion

It’s official: “The King of Chaos” Ricky Cruz is the first Missouri Heavyweight Champion, as sanctioned by Missouri Wrestling Revival.  Despite most going home happy, the event was controversial.

Reigning Dynamo Pro Champion Jake Dirden accidentally collided with referee Michael Crase in the corner.  The second official, Patrick Hook, was struck by a Cruz diving crossbody.

With no “regular” referees left, Michael Magnuson and Dave DeLorean (of the Travis Cook Organization) attacked Cruz.

Dynamo Pro owner Crystal Yount demanded the TCO leave ringside or they would be fired.  The two complied.  Yount named Mike Outlaw as the third referee and declared, “We will have a winner tonight.”

Outlaw seemed unbiased; he only struck Dirden with the Dynamo Pro belt to escape “Dirdey’s” clutch on Mike’s neck.

“(Traditionally, if) You put your hands on a ref, you’ll get disqualified. If you put your hands on Mike Outlaw, you’ll get knocked the hell out,” Outlaw explained to MWR.

Ricky Cruz took advantage of that incident and landed a beautiful superkick that looked like it could have decapitated the big man from Blackwater.

Cruz is something of a belt collector now.  He owns the belts of MWR, Dynamo Pro, the Kansas City-based GWF, and he’s the IWRG Rey del Ring champ too.

Ricky was excited about winning MWR’s belt: “The belt is very cool.  I can’t wait to defend it and I’ll represent our area when I take it to Puerto Rico.”

Also that night, High Level Enterprise (Jon Webb & Jack Gamble) finally defeated The Black Hand Warriors (DeLorean & Magnuson) to win the Dynamo Pro Tag Team Championship for the first time.  The brutal No-Holds-Barred match included the BHW getting slammed onto Lego blocks (that has got to be a first).

Ricky Cruz’s first MO Title defense is against another Travis Cook Organization member, Attila Khan.  The showdown is presented by New Breed Wrestling on October 24 at the Eldon Community Center.  The Missouri Title will be defended in every singles match the champion has in the State.

Is Wrestling Fixed? I Didn’t Know It Was Broken: From Photo Shoots and Sensational Stories to the WWE Network, Bill Apter’s Incredible Pro Wrestling Journey

The anticipated memoir from a sports entertainment fandom legend

As a kid growing up in New York in the late ’50s, Bill Apter fell in love with professional wrestling, and it wasn’t long before he was rubbing shoulders with the greats as a young reporter and photographer. He’s since become the world’s best-known wrestling magazine personality, and he’s had professional and personal relationships with a who’s-who of the business, like Triple H, Hulk Hogan, The Rock, Sting, and Ric Flair.

In his fun-loving memoir, Bill Apter takes us from the dressing rooms of the Bruno Sammartino era and the last days of the territories, to the birth of WrestleMania, the emergence of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin and the “Attitude Era,” to today’s WWE Superstars like John Cena, Daniel Bryan, and Roman Reigns. He also shares stories of his days photographing boxing stars like Muhammad Ali and other champions, and he documents his appearances on the WWE Network and his work as editor of 1wrestling.com.

Find out which wrestler threatened him, learn about the dead wrestler who was really alive, and discover how hanging out with Andy Kaufman led to the comic’s notorious feud with Jerry “The King” Lawler.

Meet him on October 17th as he will be inducted into the St.Louis Wrestling Hall of Fame.
