Ron Powers takes offense to Herb Simmons stating that Chaz Wesson will defeat him on July 16th in East Carondelet, Illinois.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on July 3, 2011

We continue to hear from the madman Ron Powers.

On July 16th Larry Matysik with a FREE MWR Trading card of Matysik to each fan with a paid ticket.

Is Ron Powers unstoppable? *Photo Credit Mike Van Hoogstraat.*

But that night is filled with much much more for you the fans.

MWR recently posted a letter from MMWA-SICW promoter  Herb Simmons inviting you the fans toEast Carondelet for MMWA-SICW action and a chance to see Chaz Wesson become the new CWC Champion.

Let me share you the letter we received.

Are you serious Herb? A new champion crowned? I think the drinking water inEast Carondeletis eating your brain. Chas will be crowned alright, with a chair. When I’m done with him, his new name will be STAIN. Don’t come to the ring like a cabbage, all head and no rear. Rest up, cause I’ll beat you into August. Herb and Chas, you two better study last month’s tape. LM C you later didn’t have a prayer. When I can press a grown man overhead with one arm, it’s over. I’m guessing you to be about 220lbs, Chas. Shouldn’t be much of a problem. Get ready to ride Air Ron. A 9ft drop to hell.

 Now Larry, its your turn.

From what I am gathering, You and Ol Herby have been scheming against me and Vincent. I understand YOU are the one getting Herb the guys to try to take me out.

What happened to you?

Whats up with this crap I’m hearing?

Et tu Brutus? The funny thing is, and not many people know this, You created me.

You, Frank, Bob, and Herb, all molded me into the ruthless, heartless, cold blooded individual I am today. I listened and did everything you guys tought me. I am your Frankenstien. What is like to feel helpless, scared, and unsure, of whats coming next. I’ll let you in on a little secret, It will be unforgettable. And everyone will have YOU to thank.

Now, as far as the open challenge to arm wrestle, its still on. Surely, there has to be someone who can beat me.

Ah hell, who we kiddin? I am unstoppable.

Ron Powers CWC Champion

Kevin Von Erich at WLW/Harley Race Camp in October

Posted by flairwhoooooo on July 2, 2011

World League Wrestling has the esteemed pleasure to announce its first guest for the 2011 Harley Race camp. This guest has history in professional wrestling like no other. His family started in the late 1950’s and thrived in the Texas area with World Class Championship Wrestling. Not only did he wrestle for W.C.C.W., but he also wrestled world-wide for the N.W.A. This wrestler is the last remaining member of the Von Erich family, Kevin. “The Golden Warrior” has agreed to be a guest at the world-renowned camp ran by the 8-times world heavyweight champion as well as be a guest at the show following the camp on Oct. 22, 2011.

Kevin Von Erich’s heritage in professional wrestling speaks for itself. The Von Erich family is considered to be one of the most popular wrestlers in this business’ history. The oldest of 5 sons, Kevin started wrestling in 1976 for his father’s promotion of World Class Championship Wrestling. His natural athletic ability helped him gain popularity and made him into one of the company’s biggest stars. His feud with Terry Gordy, Michael “PS” Hayes, and Buddy Roberts (collectively known as the Fabulous Freebirds) showcased matches that brought World Class Championship Wrestling to its peak. These matches helped sell out the Dallas Sportatorium on a weekly basis.

While achieving great success as a tag team with his brothers (Kerry, David, and Michael), he also gained stardom as a singles wrestler. He wrestled all over the world for the National Wrestling Alliance including St. Louis, Georgia, and Florida. He also competed for a short time with the World Wide Wrestling Federation. One of his standout matches as a singles competitor came on Christmas day of 1978, as he defeated Bruiser Brody for the NWA American Heavyweight Championship. He also had numerous other matches with superstars including the 8-Times World Heavyweight Champion, Harley Race.

Kevin Von Erich has since retired from professional wrestling to spend time with his family. He rarely makes appearances for any company, but has agreed to come in and help out with World League Wrestling ran by Harley Race for this year’s camp (scheduled October 17th through October 21st, with a show in Eldon, MO on October 22nd).

To reserve your spot in gaining advice in this ultra-rare experience by Kevin Von Erich, please visit http://www.harleyrace.com/camp09.html to download the registration form. Also, if you have any questions, please email 2011wlwcamp@earthlink.net or call 573-392-4100!
