Please support Double Dropkick Online

Posted by flairwhoooooo on July 16, 2011

Please support Double Dropkick Online

Two of my very close friends Kenneth Scott and Pete Andrews has recently started a brand new wrestling website.

‘
Lets see what they have in store for us in the future at the site.

Kenneth S. and Peter H. would like to inform everybody, if they can’t already tell, that our brand new blog (mostly Kenneth’s though) is a little bare and might be for some time. Come on people, we have normal lives, and we want to keep it that way. For us, this is just a hobby and not a secondary source of income. Although, making mere pennies from covering our site in ads would REEK OF AWESOMENESS! Ok, so maybe it will become a secondary source of income, but first we will need to write a lot more articles and build enough traffic to the site. Speaking of writing articles…

Kenneth and I really want to keep Double Dropkick Online focused and try and make every piece that is posted worth reading, really worth reading. Instead of listing things that we will do, here’s a list of things that we won’t do:

•Show Results, of any kind. There are so many other places to go for show results, why come to us? Posting thoughts of a show is one thing, posting results is another.
•Posting a picture, video, show poster, a sticky note, or anything else without writing something to go along with it.
•Honestly, we really don’t want to hype upcoming events unless we’re going to attend, and even then it’ll just be a post saying we are going to be there.
•Play nice. If a wrestler or promotion deserves to be thrown under the bus, they’ll be thrown. This isn’t a warning to say we plan on being negative about any wrestlers or promotions, but there must be real criticism.
•Anything news related. Guess what!? John Cena just posted another Tweet bashing The Rock! WHO CARES! There are PLENTY of places to get your fix on anything news related, especially when it’s worthless news, like anything John Cena related.
•Peter H. does not watch WWE or TNA. Don’t expect much from him in that area, unless he feels like bashing it.
•Anything Mixed Martial Arts related. We like it, but prefer pro wrestling. Maybe it’s just us, but we are tired of pro wrestling sites mixing in MMA articles, when there are literally zero MMA sites that cover anything about pro wrestling. There is a reason why… think about it.
We are working on getting the look of the site down. We may mess around with a few colors, we have a logo in the works, and there’s even hushed tones of having a custom background with wrestlers seemingly appearing out from behind of the blog itself! We would really love to move towards making some videos or even a podcast in the future, but some of that will cost money we just don’t have at the moment. Double Dropkick Online will always be a work in progress.

The site will come together eventually, so please be patient. We’re in no rush. We’re letting it settle, please excuse our dust. (Rhyming was unintentional.)

Kansas City Star’s Suzanne P. Cole covers Metro Pro Wrestling.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on July 15, 2011

By SUZANNE P. COLE
Special to The Star

The ring is well-lit, the crowd reeling to see its favorite high-flying missiles. And the ropes? The ropes are ready. It will be only minutes before the first 250 pounds of accelerating flesh is tossed effortlessly into them.

Lights! Pomp! Announcer circumstance! Fast-forward to the good stuff, 8 minutes in.
The wrestler who goes by the name Mark Sterling is down already, tangled in his own limbs and moaning, supine, at the center of the ring. Let him be. Let that man writhe. He deserves it. Heel.

Wrestling fans mark your calendar for August 13th to be in Kansas City for Metro Pro Wrestling.

A rematch for the MPW TV title as champion Michael Strider will defend against the demented Derek Stone.

Let’s take a look at the last time these two in a very scary battle from this past June.

If Strider vs. Stone was the only match that night then it would still be worth the price of admission but that’s not all !!!

At one time Ms Natural was among the top women wrestlers in the world with 5 World League Wrestling Ladies reigns to her resume. Ms Natural is just now starting to hit her stride and shaking the ring rust off. This does not fare well for the other three females.

MWR to name the top 30 Tag teams of the MWR Years.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on July 11, 2011

Teams work together to reach the highest heights, Like Batman and Robin some become great. Who at this point will go down in history as the very best tag team during the MWR years is now up for debate.

By Brian Kelley
Missouri Wrestling Revival

Fans can be passionate about who they believe are the very best in the game. Recently I have sat down with some of the great minds in wrestling  to discuss just who is top 30 tag teams of the MWR years. The experts wanted me to let you the fans or even the wrestlers themselves to send in a reason of why your favorite tag team is the best during the years.

Obviously the three former MWR Tag Teams of the Years, the Northstar Express, The Hooligans and Attitude Inc. will be on there but who will get that top spot? Who will be left out and who will squeak into the list.

To be included on the list there accomplishments during the years 2007 till today while wrestling at the MWR Promotions. With great debate it has been determined that New Midwest Wrestling tag teams will be added on during the time of 2010 to now  due to the fact that we had not covered them prior to then. That is not a knock to our friends at NMW but an honest answer to why we are unable to honestly place them on the list.

What was taken in consideration for their rankings will be

1) Titles held
2) Length of tenure
3) Competition
4) Impact in the sport
5) Talent

Now some will meet all of those requirements while others will be so strong in one area that will catapult them into their spot.

To send in your thoughts e-mail me at flairwhoooooo@yahoo.com

Send in your thoughts before it is to late….the countdown begins next week.
