The landscape of PWP was forever changed last month when Brian Gott becam the first man to hold both the PWP Tag Team Championship & the PWP Heavyweight Championship at the same time! Things are as unstable as ever with everyone vying for a title shot! Here is what will go down September 22nd!

Fatal 4-Way #1 Contenders Match

Winner will face Brian Gott for the PWP Heavyweight Championship in the Main Event:

“”Showtime”” Bradley Charles Vs. Abu Colossus Vs. Shawn Nautilus Vs. Derek Cornell

This match has all sorts of intrigue! After a singles match on August 18th, “Showtime” laid out Cornell with “The Long Kiss Good Knight”…, now Cornell has a chance not only for revenge, but to get a shot at competing with his tag team partner, Gott. Colossus & Nautilus know each other well from previous battles, but now there is so much more at stake! Anything can happen in this match and one competitor will get a shot at the top prize in Pro Wrestling Phoenix.

Street Fight: Hype Gotti Vs. Branden Juarez

In July, Juarez eliminated Gotti in the Phoenix Challenge, costing him a shot at the Heavyweight title. In August, Juarez cheated to defeat Gotti in their first ever meeting. Now, the heat has been turned up, as it will be a STREET FIGHT! The winner of this match will be in line for a PWP Heavyweight Championship title shot in the near future. So much at stake: pride, respect, glory and more!

Darren “Thunder” Russell Vs. Vic Victory w/ Special Guest Referee: Chris Havius

Things are getting intense between these two former PWP Tag Team Champions. Last month, Victory grabbed a handful of tights for extra leverage to illegally get the 3 count on Russell. Russell, determined to defeat Victory in a fair fight, asked the PWP Officials for a rematch. Not only did they give the rematch, but they assigned a special guest referee who will make SURE to call it right down the middle: Chris Havius! Victory will have to refrain from cheating or things could get very ugly!

Axel Greece addresses the PWP Fans

After Ryan Slade lost the PWP Heavyweight Championship, PWP cameras caught an exchange between Slade and manager Axel Greece that resulted in Slade FIRING Axel Greece from being his manager! Greece has since contacted PWP Officials and asked for a chance to address the fans. After some debate, they reluctantly agreed. What will Greece have to say, and what are his plans in PWP now that he his services are no longer required by Ryan Slade?

Also appearing: SM King, “American Bulldogs” Mad Dog McDowell & Jon West, Sean Cruz, Joey Daniels, “”The Passion”” Zac James, Leslie Ray, Paul Daniels & more!

Ricky Kwong’s 2012 King of Des Moines tournament results on the way to becoming the 2012 King of Des Moines!

Defeated Ray Stryker by submission.

Ricky Kwong received a bye into the tournament finals!

Ricky Kwong w/ Chad Mylan beat Ryan Slade by pinfall to become the 2012 King of Des Moines. Copious amounts of underhanded tactics and weapon use on the part of Kwong & Mylan led to the finish, which saw Kwong hit Slade twice with a steel chair before crushing him with the No. 1 Flying Elbowdrop for the pin. The referee had inadvertently been struck, so he was out on the mat as Kwong used the chair. Mylan poured water on the ref to revive him in time to count the fall

The 2012 3XW King of Des Moines Tournament winner, the man formerly known as “The Laotian Sensation” Ricky Kwong, now known as Emperor Kwong.

One of the top moments in the MWR coverage area over the past three years has been in the heart of the city of St Louis in the community of Hillsdale. While many people tend to stay away from the area because it is unjustly labeled dangerous but the truth of the matter is the area is filled with kind hearted people, young and old that live there.

The annual event teams up pro wrestling with the community to bring the exciting action of the sport to many of the youth of the area that may never be able to afford the ticket to a WWE RAW event.

The cost of the event is FREE.

For one day only in Hillsdale, Jesse Jackson Ave is blocked off and the men and women of MMWA-SICW work together to put up a wrestling ring. You will have the chance to meet many of the wonderful people of Hillsdale including the Mayor Dorothy Moore, ST Louis County Executive Charles Dooly, and the Hillsdale Village council. The  hard work from the fine people of Hillsdale with the police department  paid off on Saturday as the community enjoyed  the free barbeque, soda, school supplies and a chance to win free bikes along with safety helmets for each winner.

Promoters Herb Simmons, Tony Casta worked closely with their right hand men Keith Smith and Tim Miller to invite some of the top talent in the area to donate their time to deliver several matches for the days event. This year saw fan favorite and a man who has been involved in all three Hillsdale Back to school show, Gary Jackson main event. Jackson teamed up with Ricky Cruz who has just returned from his home land of Puerto Rico the week prior to get a big win against the team of Jr. Heavyweight Champion Max Archer & Webmaster Stevie K.

The fans got to take photos, get autographs and speak to the wrestlers such as Sean Vincent, Brian James, Jimmy D as well as Jackson and Cruz during the intermission. Prior to the hard hitting action in the ring the kids were able to have some fun in the bounce houses, get their face painted and all the while have a day that they will cherish for a lifetime.

Take the time to enjoy some of the photos from the third annual MMWA-SICW Hillsdale Back to School show and we hope to see you next year for this must attend day in St. Louis including the winners of the bike giveaway.

I wish this photo would have been better quality but I cropped it from another photo of the wrestling action and I thought that it was still worth seeing on its own. How great is it to see the police department and kids have this connection during the action of the sport we love, pro wrestling.
