Missouri Rankings Update: Slips & Gifts

Posted by Ben Simon on September 1, 2015

MO Rankings

The new Official Missouri Rankings list, good through October, has been calculated and published.  Head over to the MO Rankings page for the tenth (and latest) publication.  To qualify for the Top 10, a wrestler must have the highest ratings with consistent activity (RD ≤ 200).  Rankings are published every two months.

For details on how the rankings work, read the Introduction

MOVEMENTS & EXPLANATIONS

“Slips and Gifts” is the theme this go-round.  Three men had no singles matches, yet were gifted with advances due to others slipping.

#1Jake Dirden put away Brandon Aarons and Shorty Biggs this period; The Dynamo Pro Champion is unstoppable.  #2Ricky Cruz retained his GWF Title by disqualification over Brandon Espinosa in Independence.  #3Moondog Rover went to the time limit with the dangerous Attila Khan.  They all hold their spots.

#9Jon Webb did not have a good time at the Lincoln County Fair in July.  He lost two straight to Brandon Espinosa and Justin D’Air.  Even though Webb won a few matches at other events, they aren’t enough to stop the man from Sparks, Nev. from dropping five rungs.  Hopefully, Webb at least got to see the tractor races.

#4Everett Connors and #5Leland Race gain one spot.  #6The Iceman gains two (see next paragraph).  Connors and Iceman were inactive in singles these two months, while Race continued to defend his WLW Heavyweight Title.

Mike Outlaw (#7 last time) traded falls with Elvis Aliaga and lost to Espinosa.  Outlaw has been dropped from the rankings.

#7Gary Jackson rises three ranks even though he had no singles results this period.  This is simply due to his contemporaries above him having subpar showings.

#8Evan Morris successfully defended his NWA Missouri belt twice against Jayden Fenix and Britton Tucker.  “Young and Dangerous” Morris has since lost the NWA Missouri belt in Tennessee(?).  Take one step upward, Mr. Morris.

#10Kyle Roberts takes the open seat at the bottom of the ladder after pinning Air Raid at the Fair in Troy.  A look at “Kickin'” Kyle’s record may raise eyebrows at his inclusion, but he meets the activity requirement.  Roberts is one of the fan favorites in WLW.
