Missouri Wrestling Revival

Troy, MO – 8-Time NWA World’s Heavyweight Champion and WWE/Professional Wrestling Hall-of-Famer, Harley Race, will be bringing his company – World League Wrestling – back to Richmond, Missouri! Saturday, April 11, WLW will be returning to the Richmond Community Center to put on some great wrestling action and also help raise some money for the Richmond Fire Prevention Program!

The Richmond Fire Prevention Program is heavily involved in keeping the youth of Ray county informed about what to do if there is ever a fire inside of their home, traveling state-wide with docu-dramas as a way to teach children, frequently giving away free items as a way to help promote the local fire-prevention program’s instruction, and much more to help keep the community safe.

WLW has been traveling across the state of Missouri for the last 15 years, and continues to go strong. “Richmond has been a very good town to and for us. The crowd keeps growing and growing, physically and figuratively” says WLW CEO and President Harley Race, “I want to keep it that way and keep what I did for so many years alive. This is the way to do it”. Harley Race and WLW have been regularly putting on events in the Richmond area, with the help of many people. Rob Kinnard has been very one of the key individuals in bringing the professional wrestling company to the area as he is actively involved throughout the Richmond Community. His team of individuals include Josh Anderson and Eric Barker. “These 3, with help from MANY of the members of the community, help make WLW events happen and we need more people like them not only in professional wrestling, but in life! Their working their backsides behind the scenes to bring events to the area. They and people like them are important and very much appreciated!” says WLW Heavyweight Champion Leland Race.

The card for this evening has 5 great matches including some wrestlers that have been with WLW for quite some time, some that are returning to WLW for the first time in a long time, and then one that is making his debut within the well-established professional wrestling company – that being “The Freestyle Phenom” Jay Howard. Howard has been training at the world-renowned Harley Race Wrestling Academy for just under a year now, and has the potential to be a tremendous star in this industry. He has a background in MMA and collegiate-style wrestling. His opponent for that night will be the a masked wrestler by the name of “Air-Raid”.

Another match will feature 2 teams that have been announced in the tournament to crown new WLW Tag-Team Champions! This match will feature WLW veterans Superstar Steve and Dangerous Derek facing off against Kyle Roberts and Ring Of Honor star Mike Sydal! This tag-team match is the first match of the tournament, and both teams are eager to win, move on, and win the WLW Tag-Team Championships!

Also on the card will be WLW Heavyweight Champion – The Champion of Champions – Leland Race, all 3 members of the Black Hand Warriors – Jayden Fenix, Michael Magnuson, and Dave Delorean, Richmond native John E. Rock, and more!

On Saturday, April 11, WLW will open the doors at the Richmond Community Center at 6:00 PM and the event will start at 7:00 PM. Tickets will start at $10 for general admission and $15 for golden circle tickets if purchased in advance. The night of the event, prices will rise $2.00 per ticket for both general admission and golden circle.
