In August of 2012, we were honored to have pro wrestler Kraig Kessaman let us know that his wine company Windy-Wine company in Osborn, Missouri (ST. Joseph, Missouri) had won the Gold medal at the Missouri Wine Competition held in Jefferson City.

Kessaman went on to say that “The contest was held on the 1st and 2nd of August. Many different wineries submitted over 230 different wines for the contest. Our Good News Red received the highest medal of Gold. Gold medal wines then went to be judged at the Governor’s Cup Contest which is the highest competition in the state. At this contest, the Gold medal winning Good News Red took another honor of best in class, semi-sweet red. This is very humbling for us and a very high honor in the wine business.”

I have been a fan of Keesaman since seeing him in action at Central States Wrestling and have had the honor of seeing him have huge success at Metro Pro Wrestling and 3XWrestling and have wanted to visit the winery for some time. As MWR’s Fan Relations Dubray Tallman and I traveled to Council Bluffs, Iowa for our very first Pro Wrestling Phoenix show of 2014, we were thrilled to have enough time to drop in for our very first visit of the Windy-Wine Company.

It was early afternoon and several patrons were sampling wines before us at the front, while several were sitting down at a table taking in the day of tasty wine and beef sticks. I had told Dubray to choose her favorite wine and we would buy a bottle, and I saw that he had some homemade sausage and cheese on the menu and I could not resist not adding that to must have list. As Keesaman helped some of the other customers, Dubray and I enjoyed some pleasantries with a couple that had made the Windy-Wine Company a common visit in their wine travels. Time would fly before I noticed that it we needed to go if we were going to make the PWP show on time. March 8th would be the first time that we would visit the Windy Wine Company, but you can be sure that it will not be the last time. In fact, I look forward for Dubray and I to pack a picnic basket and enjoying the summer air in St. Joseph with a bottle of Award Winning Windy-Wine, along with some more of their delicious sausage and cheese. So wrestling fans I encourage you to make a visit to Osborn, Missouri and pick up a bottle of wine to add to your wrestling collection.
