Dynamite Double Feature! SICW Returns this Saturday in East Carondelet, Il

This Saturday at East Carondelet
The legendary St. Louis promoter Sam Muchnick would agree. It’s a dynamite double main event on the SICW card in East Carondelet, Illinois, this coming Saturday, Sept. 21 at 8 p.m.
Ricky Cruz attempts to regain the Classic Wrestling Championship from titleholder Ironman Ken Kasa, and the tough guys tangle when Flash Flanagan battles Ron Powers.
Kasa ended Cruz’s one-year plus reign as Classic king on June 15. Without question, a major player in Kasa’s victory was Travis Cook, the controversial manager of the Ironman. Since Travis is always at odds with SICW promoter Herb Simmons, Cruz knows that upending Kasa – and not relying on a series of bouts – is critical. Likewise, Cruz will be ready this time for the painful Iron Maiden torture lock that forced Ricky to submit in June.
Powers, himself a former Classic champion, and Flanagan are prime contenders for whoever survives between Kasa and Cruz. At one point, it appeared as though Flash and Powers would be an unstoppable tag team duo. They even beat legends Butch Reed and Cowboy Bob Orton. But egos and desires have caused Flanagan and Powers to bump heads.
Flanagan has a mean streak one mile wide along with a clever approach inside the ring. Powers is an explosion waiting to happen – chairs and tables can be called into play at the slightest provocation. This feature should be a war.
Tickets for Saturday’s blockbuster slate are available by calling 618-286-4848.
Returning to SICW Saturday is 410-pound Bull Bronson, who tackles high-flying old school warrior Chaz Wesson. “Night Train” Gary Jackson faces “Mr. Unpredictable” Dave Vaughn. Also in action are Jake Dirden, Heath Hatton, The Big Texan, Ax, Alexander Rudolph and more.
And it’s all topped by the dynamite double feature!
