Travis Cook is not all smiles today as news came in that he will be gone till Oct 1st 2012- Photo Mike Van Hoogstraat.

At a card August 18 at the East Carondelet Community Center, Ironman Ken Kasa, who is managed by Travis  Cook, lost a controversial decision to Classic Wrestling Champion Ricky Cruz. After the bout, Cook got into an angry dispute with referee Jim Harris. When Harris turned to leave, Cook clubbed Harris from behind.

This brought promoter Herb Simmons into the dispute as he ordered Cook from the ring. Cook and Simmons then got into a violent argument, during which Simmons suspended Cook. When Cook continued to scream, Simmons – who is also the mayor of East Carondelet – called police to handcuff Cook and take him from the building.

No criminal charges were filed, but Cook was ordered to stay out of East Carondelet until at least October 1. While Cook is expected to appeal the suspension, it is unlikely anything could be scheduled until later this fall so in the end – Travis Cook is out of business in SICW until October 1.
