Just under 24 hours since Adam Pearce survived a tour of the Midwest that saw him barley get out of town with his 10 pounds of Gold against Kahagas and Matt Murphy, a former rival in Colt “Boom Boom” Cabana defeats him in California for the title.

Congratulations from MWR goes out to the charismatic Cabana who has in the past recently made appearances for Metro Pro Wrestling and All American Pro Wrestling respectfully. We look forward to the new worlds Champion return to the Midwest in the near future.
Though we have not been happy to see Pearce use underhanded tactics to hold onto his NWA Title during his fourth reign, there has been no doubt that the man has brought prestige back to the NWA by defending the title around the world. His title defense’s in KC, STL, Des Moines, Iowa and Council Bluffs was the first time the belt had been defended in these respected cities in many many years.

On Friday night at NWA Dynamo the NWA National Champion Kahagas wasn’t the only one after his title but also international superstar and currently undefeated in the Midwest Ricky Cruz was in the title hunt. His battles with Michael Strider, Jeremy Wyatt, Kahagas, Matt Murphy and “Babyface” Tony Cortez were all worth the price of admission alone to each of the shows that he main evented for.

It was an honor to be ringside at Metro Pro Wrestling as the last time that Pearce successfully defended the NWA Worlds title during his fourth reign this past weekend against “All That” Matt Murphy.
Is the last ride over for Pearce?
We certainly hope that isn’t the case. Pearce is one of the best wrestlers in the world today, he can wrestle and talk with the best of them at any promotion in the World and is certainly capable of reclaiming the title from Cabana once again to start a fifth reign.
With or without the title Adam Pearce is a man who is still among the top wrestlers in the world today.
