Our friends at TalkNWA have just released their own version of the top 10 wrestlers in the NWA today.

The Tokyo Monster Kahagas  ranked at number 5, is looking to make history as he tries to knock off the NWA National Champion Chance Prophet. The war between Kahagas and Prophet has been red hot in 2012 and the Tokyo Monster has been so close to defeating Prophet at NWA Ring Warriors earlier this year. The two will meet once again on March 29th in Ft Lauderdale, Florida for NWA Ring Warriors.

Then Kahagas makes his return to the Midwest  a week later to take on the Kingpin of the NWA, The Worlds Champion Adam Pearce in Glen Carbon, Illinois on April 6th at NWA Dynamo wrestling. This could be the biggest match in the St Louis area this year.

If that isn’t enough the NWA JR Champion Kevin Douglas has two defense’s in Texas, first on April 13 at NWA Houston, then the next night for NWA Lonestar/Texas Stampede in Dallas.

Can Kahagas knock off the great three of the NWA in less than in the next two months?

At number 9 in the rankings is the NWA Central states Champion Jeremy Wyatt, who earlier this year  looked to have become the brand new NWA World Champion in Des Moines, Iowa at 3XW.

The 3XW website stated it best with their look at the travesty that would keep “The Belt Collector” from adding the World title to his collection.

The first NWA World’s Heavyweight title match in Des Moines since 1986 featured a very controversial ending that saw Adam Pearce retain the championship. After referee Jeromy Robb was inadvertently crushed by both men in the corner, Jeremy Wyatt applied the Crossface on Pearce, forcing him to submit – except no referee was there to see it! Mark Sterling ran out, but inadvertently nailed Pearce with the Spear when aiming for Wyatt! Wyatt cover Pearce and referee Steve Biley ran out to count the pinfall! Wyatt had won the NWA World’s Heavyweight championship and the fans went wild as Wyatt celebrated with the championship!

Robb, however, conferenced with Steve Biley and notified the ring announcer that he saw Sterling hit Pearce with the Spear and that Wyatt had in fact been disqualified! As a result, Pearce retains the title.

As Pearce lay unconscious on the mat, Wyatt through the ropes onto Sterling outside the ring. Sterling and Wyatt brawled all over the arena before returning to the ring, where Pearce clipped Wyatt’s knee from behind and both Pearce and Sterling assaulted Wyatt, culminating in a double-team Markshooter/Crossface combo. Pearce forced Wyatt to stare at the NWA title as they held him in the submission hold.

There is no doubt that many fans feel as if the NWA World title is rightfully Jeremy Wyatt his.

While that may be true, Kahagas looks to have the next shot at the title, and MWR fans are full aware of the history that is between the Tokyo Monster and the Belt Collector. Their feud has crossed over states as Wyatt has even traveled to Florida to attack Kahagas in the past.

If Kahagas is to knock off the NWA Worlds Champion Adam Pearce on April 6th, it is not too hard to believe that the Tokyo Monster first title defense will be against arch rival Wyatt. The two will be at same place the very next night in Kansas City, Kansas at Metro Pro Wrestling as they are both scheduled to be at the same building that night.

So get your tickets for April 6th, for NWA Dynamo Pro Wrestling to see if the Kahagas can dethrone Pearce leading into Kahagas and Wyatt…..A dream matchup for this wrestling fan here.
