3. Casanova with Todd Countryman defeated Ricky Kwong with Chad Mylan after Countryman and Mylan having a dispute on the apron allowed Jon West of the American Bulldogs to deliver a vicious slam to Kwong and help Casanova get the victory. West was getting revenge for his partner McDowell’s loss in the previous bout as the battle between the MMA and The American Bulldogs rages on.

Non-tournament:

5. 3XW Heavyweight Title – Jeremy Wyatt (c) and 3XW Tag Team champion Ben Sailer went to a 15-minute draw in an incredibly technical, mat-based battle that received a standing ovation from many in the crowd. Many, many techniques never seen before in 3XW utilized here. Must see stuff.

7. In a first-ever Genesis vs. Genesis member battle, Zach Thompson pinned AJ Smooth in seconds. Both men were accompanied by Todd Countryman, who distracted Smooth as the bell rang allowing Thompson to roll him up for the pin. Smooth was very upset that Countryman, the leader of Genesis, clearly sided with Thompson as the man to represent Genesis in the finals against Slade. Smooth lost to Slade in July in a incredible Canadian Tuxedo match which featured both men giving their all.

Non-Tournament

8. Mike Sydal defeated The Mauler with Chad Mylan, pinning him after a series of moves culminating with a flying crossbody off the top rope and savvy pinning technique. The final moments of the bout saw American Bulldogs manager Skylar Pierce chasing MMA manager Chad Mylan around the ringside area and eventually out the main door.

9. 6-Man Tag Team match – Genesis (Devin Carter, Tony Sly, 3XW Tag Team champion Nate Bash) beat Team 3XW (Jimmy Rockwell, Jon West & 3XW Pure Wrestling champion Sir Bradley Charles) after Bash pinned SBC immediately following Sly hitting SBC with a low blow for the third straight month. Following the match, SBC challenged Sly to a one-on-one rematch, agreeing to Sly’s request that the Pure Wrestling title be on the line.

10. Ryan Slade is the 2011 King of Des Moines, beating Zach Thompson with Todd Countryman after knocking Countryman off the ring apron and nailing Thompson with a devastating Canadian Destroyer for the pin.

Immediately following the bout, 3XW Tag Team champions American Ground & Air (Ben Sailer & Nate Bash, representing Genesis) ran to the ring and began assaulting Slade. Fellow Genesis member AJ Smooth came out with a Canadian flag and as Sailer and Bash held Slade up for an attack, Smooth shockingly hit his stablemates Sailer and Bash to the delight of the crowd.

In an emotional moment, a confused Slade cautiously – and eventually fully – shook Smooth’s hand as a variation of the Canadian anthem began to play as fans gave a standing ovation to the reunion of former long-time 3XW tag team Sexy and Smooth.
