PWP Dog Collar Match: “Babyface” Tony Cortez Vs. Jaysin Strife June 25th 2011

Posted by flairwhoooooo on June 19, 2011

Ladies & Gentlemen, PWP heads into its 6th year promoting the best wrestling events in the Midwest!

Matty Star is the PWP Heavyweight Champion, and “The Passion” Zac James & “The Canadian Sex Icon” Ryan Slade are still the PWP Tag Team Champions, managed by “Manager Supreme” Axel Greece.

Many feuds came to an end in May, however others remain. Here is what we can expect for June 25th!

Dog Collar Match: “Babyface” Tony Cortez Vs. Jaysin Strife

“Babyface” has had enough of Strife ever since he returned to PWP and attacked him in the middle of the ring. Now after months of using a steel chain against him, Cortez made the challenge for the infamous DOG COLLAR MATCH! Both men wear a dog collar, attached together by a lengthy steel chain! There are no rules, and there must be a winner!

Matty Star defends the PWP Heavyweight Championship

Matty Star has won over the hearts of the PWP fans, and he said in a moving speech after he won the title that he would defend against any and all comers who thought themselves worthy of a shot. Who will it be? Be there June 25th to find out!

Vic Victory & Darren “Thunder” Russell Vs. Branden Juarez & A Mystery Partner

Vic Victory returned to PWP for one reason, to punish Branden Juarez. He accomplished that and won his return match in May. However, Juarez nailed Victory with a devastating chair shot during his celebration and Russell made the save. Juarez has made the challenge to the men for a tag team contest, and they have accepted. Juarez explained that he would find someone to be his partner in the match and he would end BOTH Victory & Russell.

ALSO:

Sir Bradley Charles won the Anytime Anywhere Contract! Will he find a partner and challenge for the PWP Tag Team Championship or will he attempt to go to the top of the ladder and challenge for the Heavyweight Title? And how long will he bide his time?

What is next for Derek Cornell? His tag team partner with the Beautiful Bodies, Brian Gott, is out for a year with a broken elbow. Will he continue to team up with Angelus Layne? Will he find a new partner? Or will he pursue a singles career in PWP?

Also in action:
* PWP Tag Team Champions “The Passion” Zac James & “The Canadian Sex Icon” Ryan Slade with “Manager Supreme” Axel Greece
* David Clark
* Preston Maxwell
* ”Sensational” Sean Cruz
* Joey Daniels
* Shawn Nautilus

MAGNUM Pro Zachary Patrick Mendoza Memorial Show.

Posted by flairwhoooooo on June 19, 2011

On June 24th, 2011, MAGNUM Pro officials and MAGNUM Pro fighters will be coming together to support a great cause. On June 24th, we will all gather together and perform to raise money for the Zachary Patrick Mendoza Memorial Scholarship fund. Please come out and join us and help us raise funds for this great cause. Tickets are $10 and proceeds from the show will go directly to the scholarship foundation. Below is the card for 6/24 at the Eagles Club in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

MAGNUM Pro Dojo Special Student Match:

Merlin Dean Banks vs Jeff O’ Shea

This match is being brought to you folks as a showcase for what the MAGNUM Dojo has to offer aspiring pro wrestlers. MDB and O’ Shea have been two of the longer training students the dojo has had, and although not fully ready to compete regularly for MAGNUM Pro, these two have been asked to showcase the things they have learned at their time in the dojo. Both men are excited to share with you fans, and they hope you will enjoy the hard work they have put into chasing their dream.

OWA Throwback:

Jayden Draigo vs “Babyface” Tony Cortez

This match is a blast from the past. Re-visiting an old feud from a dead promotion, Draigo and Cortez are two well traveled men who started their careers coming out of Omaha, Nebraska. Draigo went off to train with Shawn Michaels in Texas, and Cortez in turn trained at the OWA school in Omaha, Nebraska. These men have met many times, and under many different circumstances, however, never before have they met with so much to prove. Not only to MAGNUM Pro fans, but to themselves, and the MAGNUM Pro office. The test of time will show just who has what it takes to be a fighter.

Team Lariat vs The Yellow Dogs

Team Lariat debuted last month to a loss to main stay Donnie Peppercricket and new comer Matty Starr. These two men demanded another shot and the MAGNUM office granted it. February saw the debut of The Yellow Dog, but now we will see The Yellow Dogs? That is right, not one, but two Yellow Dogs will be in action to take on the returning Team Lariat in what will prove to be an interesting and unorthodox match up.

Vic Victory returns to MAGNUM Pro:

Matty Starr vs Vic Victory

After a lengthy absence from the pro wrestling industry, Vic Victory has decided it was time to come back and make a bigger impact than before. Vic has proved time and time again that he is a fighter, and on 6/24 he will have the opportunity to show that when he faces fellow high flyer Matty Starr. Matty Starr made an impressive debut last month being one of the victors in the tag match with Donnie Peppercricket. How will this first time ever meeting end? Only way to find out, is to be there on June 24th when these two hungry competitors meet face to face.

Matt Cage vs Jaysin Strife

Matt Cage has been absent in resent months, and when he contacted the MAGNUM offices he demanded that he be given an opponent that he could prove himself against. Well, after Angelus Layne asked to prove herself she got Jaysin Strife, well the office felt as if that would also be a suitable opponent for Cage. Matt Cage stated that he was not intimidated by the well traveled Strife and that he would make a statement at the expense of Strife when he returned to MAGNUM on June 24th. Strife told MAGNUM officials that Cage must be extremely crazy because he keeps telling everyone that he is white. With that Strife walked away with a chuckle and a smile on his face. How will Matt Cage take to being insulted and made fun of? Find out June 24th when Jaysin Strife and Matt Cage square off in the MAGNUM Pro ring for the first time ever!

Main Event:

Derek Cornell vs Supafli

After the unfortunate accident last month between Cornell and Gott, Cornell has been a different man. Very quiet and without comment after the injury his best friend Brian Gott sustained. The MAGNUM office felt it was only fitting to give Cornell another shot at showcasing himself in the main event, and what better person to second him in that but his other long time friend Supafli. Both of these men have A LOT to prove after both being eliminated in the first round of the Battle Royale Cup. Will Cornell’s mind be in the right place, or will the ever focused and hungry Supafli make his name by capitalizing on the distracted Derek Cornell? June 24th is when it all goes down so make sure you’re there to watch the best action in the state of Iowa, and to support a great cause on top of all that.

Also appearing for a great cause: Shawn Nautilus, Zac James, Donnie Peppercricket, Alex Castle, Christian Rose, Sean Cruz and more!
