Ron Powers speaks out – Big Match signed for Saturday March 26th between Champ Danny Boy and Powers

Missouri Wrestling Revival posted last week the shocking developments of Ron Powers turning his back his good friend Danny Boy Hawkins during a special presentation of the trophy honoring Hawkins for winning the Classic Wrestling Championship tournament in January 2011.

Lets get one thing perfectly clear. If it wasn’t for Me, Danny Boy and Gary Jackson would of never wrestled outside of Missouri. Hey, I’m not taking anything away from these guys. They are tough competitors, but I was, am, and will always be, steps ahead of these guys. I have forgotten more about this business than they will ever know.
I’ve held titles in almost every state throughout the 90’s and the early 2000’s. I had more gold in my trophy case, than King Tut was buried with. My son used to ask me, Dad, how did we get all these nice things? How come we get new cars every year? And my typical answer was “because son, your dad is a winner”.
I had reign over every promotion I was with. This is how I got my “friends” booked. Of course I had my reasons for booking them too. Danny would carry my bags and keep fat chicks away, and Gary would do my wash and do what he does best…..polish my belts. Be careful what you wish for fellas. I WILL SHOW NO REMORSE

I don’t think Ron Powers is fully taking his trip down memory lane. True that he has wrestled all over and has worn many titles,however he hasn’t been alone during that long journey. Danny boy has made a name for himself. I have witnessed both of these guys over the years battle the best in the business. I would like to remind Ron that I have seen Danny Boy come to his aide in the past and never ask him for anything. It was I that brought this beast out of retirement when several others were running rough shot over everyone. Now not only is Ron turning his back on Danny Boy,but myself and most of all the fans. March 26th should be interesting when these two step into the ring and battle for the cwc title. One thing I know for sure,it will be a one of a kind match as both of these men will have something to prove not only to the fans, but to themselves.

I have never been one to talk loud or do crazy interviews. I let my actions and abilities speak for themselves. You all have heard Ron’s crap. Now I’m going to set the record straight. In the beginning, Ron opened doors that I couldn’t do by myself. But once I was there, it was me and my ability that kept me there, not Ron Powers. I have wrestled all over this country and won numerous titles just like him. The fact that I am the Classic Wrestling Champion just eats Ron alive. Powers’ biggest downfall is that he is in love with himself. He is the best — just ask him. What he seems to forget is that I am the one who got in the good graces of the local promoters in this area. Now he has shown his true colors once again. There’s the old saying, “Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me.” I just let my emotions get the best of me. You should be careful what you wish for, Ron. Because I am going to beat you like you’ve never been beaten before. I always say you don’t have to be the biggest, you don’t have to be the baddest, you just have to be the best.
