Taking a break
Posted by reimaginejournalism on August 19, 2010
Since I began writing for MWR two and a half years ago, it has been one of, if not the biggest, part of my life. Covering shows, writing profiles and getting involved in the independent wrestling scene has been a great time and a tremendous learning experience. As much as I enjoy helping the Midwest wrestling scene to the best of my abilities, I decided to take a break from writing for Missouri Wrestling Revival.
I have been writing for SIUE’s newspaper, the Alestle since last year, and was given an editorial position for the upcoming semester. I feel that it is in my, and MWR’s, best interest that I take time to focus on my schoolwork and newly acquired editorial position.
Though I will still attend shows from time to time, I do not want to commit to covering shows and not be able to do so. I am extremely grateful for all of the opportunities I have been given and would like to thank MMWA-SICW, LWA, NWA-Dynamo Pro, HVW, IHW, AAPW and PWN, as well as the wrestlers and fans who continue to support both independent wrestling and MWR. Lastly, I would like to thank Josh Ray, Brian Kelley, Dubray Tallman and everyone else who has played a part in MWR’s success.
Signed,
Kari N. Williams

Hate to see you go but understand. I remember the first time I met you and your mother at the mall in south County. We were there having an autograph session with Larry Matysik, Mickey Garagolia and Lee Warren when you ask to interview Larry. Since that time we have watched you grow into a great writer. You have attended many shows and become a person that knows what the readers want to read. Whatever the future holds for you I’m sure you will do great. Your mother and father must be proud of you. Good luck for the future. I know we will see you around the ring in the future.

Things are hectic for me, as well. I feel your pain, Kari! When you shot me an e-mail a few years back, I would have never guessed the talent and personality I was about to encounter! Stay the course and keep doing great things! I still owe you a phone call!

Your dedication has earned you the right to pursue other options and no one should stand in the way of an education.
Be safe and enjoy your life to the fullest!!!!!
