Missouri Wrestling Revival

Dubray Tallman here and it had been months since Brian and I have made our way to Council Bluffs Iowa to Pro Wrestling Phoenix . We got to town early so we could purchase some Christmas gifts for the family then headed to the National Guard Armory.

When we got there we saw many friends that we had not seen in awhile as well as some who had been at the many shows we have been at this past fall. Darin Corbin from the Northstar Express was there, as well as Arik Cannon and the Monster Abu Colossus. Brian spoke to his friends Donnie Peppercricket and Chris Havius while I met some wrestling trainees that were looking to be a part of wrestling in the Midwest.

We went on the hunt to get promos for the MWR Fans and caught up with the well dressed but cocky #1 Brett Young as he entered the building. Brian was on the hunt to get a promo from young David Clark. Jaysin Strife was very hyped up in a promo and looked to get back in top in 2010. Myself, I caught up with Abu and asked Zac James why he was called the Passion. All of these can be seen when Brian post the PWP recap.

Before I knew it the show was starting and I headed to my seat. I wanted to do the “Dubi meets the PWP Fans” but beings that the show was starting I didn’t really want to bother them as they were enjoying the show. At intermission we were giving away a free MWR T-shirt so I was in charge of getting the information and keeping Brian on track to get the winner and my picture taken for the site.

Then it was off to find some fans that were willing to be a part of “Dubi meets the fans”. For those who have never seen Dubi meets the fans the article is set up where I asked the fans where they are from and who there favorite wrestler is. We try our best to get that wrestler to come out and meet the fan to have their picture taken when them.

On this night I first caught up with Samie Holzapfel from Omaha Nebraska that stated that her favorite was Matty Star. Then I went on the other side of the ring and met a couple, Jeff and Heidi Lowe who was also from Omaha Nebraska and was a Matty Star fan. To be honest I wasn’t for sure who Matty Star was but at PWP he was well liked. I got my boyfriend Brian who lives and breath wrestling (In fact it is a day after Christmas and we are not going to a show and it is killing him (I am sure if the roads wasn’t covered with snow we would be checking out some promotion called ICAW because Mike Sydal and Brandon Espinosa is suppose to be there) to see if Matty would come out to get his picture taken .

Matty Star really impressed me with the time he took talking to his fans. All smiles and very friendly I can understand why he is so popular with the PWP Fans. I was going to get another fan but before I knew it the intermission was over. Brian joked that this was Matty Star night at PWP.

Missouri Wrestling Revival was proud to be at Pro Wrestling Phoenix’s A Champions Rises 2 this past Saturday in Council Bluffs Iowa. A great time was had as MWR was able to get a chance to check out some great wrestling that saw a brand new Champion crowned when “Babyface” Tony Cortez became a two time PWP Champion by pinning Jaysin Strife when the two were the last two remaining in the PWP Battle Royal in the main event.

PWP Tag team Champions Chris Havius and Donnie Peppercricket retained there title by defeating the dangerous tag team of Arik Cannon and Darin Corbin. Also on the card was a main event match anywhere in the country when Strife was able to defeat Cannon in a classic to be involved in the Main event Battle Royal. MWR Midwest star on the rise. Former PWP Champions went toe to toe to get in the Battle Royal as #1 Brett Young’s arch enemy Abu Colossus continued his winning ways in their feud. David Clark was impressive in defeat as “The Passion” Zac James took him to school but not before Clark was able to show signs of greatness.

Thanks to PWP we were able to meet their fans throughout the night. Time flew on the night and she did “Dubi meets the Fans” and surprisingly the young Matty Star was very popular in Council Bluffs.

On the evening we gave away the very popular MWR T-shirt to one lucky fan. Ring announcer Axel Greece allowed a young PWP fan to pick the name out of the hat. Zakaria Breenan from Belview Nebraska was in the house and took home the exclusive shirt.
