Breaking News: Scott County Wrestling Closes Doors

SCW is history!

With Shane Hollister defeating Marek Brave at the end of Scott County Wrestling’s 2009 Prestige Rumble this past weekend as a member of the Pro Wrestling NEXT faction, SCW has officially closed its doors and out of the ashes is PWN!  Some might cite tradition being thrown out the window with the closing of SCW, but many are looking to the future and a renewed sense of pride in what the wrestlers and fans have accomplished in the Quad Cities area.

Also that night:

The Northstar Express and Arik Cannon defeated The Ohoenix Twins and Shane Hollister in an excellent six-man tag match.

Danny Daniels defeated Mike Sydal in a match that saw Sydal’s popularity with the crowd continue to increase.

SCW-PWN Heavyweight Champion Mississippi Madman defeated Marek Brave in a title versus hair match.  Madman cut osme of Brave’s hair before Brave escaped.

PWN makes it’s debut on Friday, May 15th at Beyond The Baseline in Davenport, IA.  While the message board is up and running, we are told that the PWN website located at ProWrestlingNEXT.com will soon be up and running with information on this event. Stay tuned for more details.
