About MWR

Based in Salisbury MO, Missouri Wrestling Revival (MWR) is more than just a professional wrestling website that covers pro wrestling in Missouri. MWR is a group of people with the desire to make pro wrestling in the entire Midwest more successful as a way of giving back to those that go out there and entertain us on a weekly basis.

On January 3, 2008 MWR was formed by owner Josh Ray who sought out the talents of several friends that he respected to deliver a positive and entertaining look at the world of pro wrestling. Kari Williams and Brian Kelley got on board to support the world of pro wrestling. In 2010, Josh Ray wanted to spend more time with the family and transferred the ownership to Brian Kelley.

Kelley is the current  Owner and Editor of MissouriWrestlingRevival.com. MWR is a website that supports professional wrestling in the Midwest. The site has featured exclusive stories, articles, upcoming shows, interviews and yearly awards since 2008. The site has also been featured in the past three years at the Cauliflower Alley Club reunion program (A non-profit corporation that supports pro wrestling) in Las Vegas. MWR has worked with promoters and wrestlers throughout the world.

MWR’s owner Brian Kelley has also been the representative for the St Louis Hall of Fame by presenting their Hall of Fame plaques to legends that thrilled fans in St. Louis such as Ric Flair, Dory Funk Jr and Bobby the Brain Heenan. In the past 3 months alone he has been a special guest on wrestling radio shows RingSyders (St Louis MO), From the Rafters (Marion, Illinois) Pro Wrestling Illustrated writer’s Brady Hicks show IN THE ROOM, and Shotgun Wrestling Revival

Kelley has also represented ECW Press during a preview in St Louis for the upcoming book “50 Greatest Wrestlers of All-Time” from legendary “Wrestling at the Chase” announcer Larry Matysik. The MWR site has supports many of top stars of yesterday, today and tomorrow. Top wrestlers who have worked with MWR include former ROH Champions Davey Richards and Eddie Edwards, MsChif, the Briscoe Brothers, former WWE stars Road Dogg, Rob Conway, and Trevor Murdoch, WWE Tough Enough’s Ryan Howe, and the top young stars of the Midwest like “Superstar” Steve Fender , Mark Sterling, Jeremy Wyatt, Mike Sydal, Stacey O’Brien, Miss Natural and many more.

Kelley currently works as a ringside photographer for over 15 promotions throughout the Midwest. I also have been a guest columnist for many wrestling websites around the world including The Wrestling Press, Alliance -Wrestling.com and many more.

While MWR is owned and edited by Kelley, he also is fortunate to have the assistance of many of the top historians, artist, photographers and fellow fans in the Midwest to provide fans with breaking news and information from each promotion.

We encourage those of you that love this unique form of entertainment to evolve with us.  Get involved.  Bring a friend or two to the shows.  Spread the word!
