Happy New Year! The new Official Missouri Rankings list, good through February, has been calculated and published. Head over to the MO Rankings page for the latest publication. To qualify for the Top 10, a wrestler must have the highest ratings with consistent activity (RD ≤ 200). Rankings are published every two months.

#3Jay Howard beat Mike Sydal to win High Risk Wrestling’s top prize in Warsaw. Earlier that night, Howard defeated Paco to qualify for the main event. “The Freestyle Phenom” dominates in several promotions and has leaped seven rungs to the solid third spot on MWR’s list.
Sydal, Mike Outlaw, and Jake Dirden all drop out due to losses (in some cases, major upsets). All three have signed with the NWL; perhaps big game anticipation is working against the men.
The departures advance #6Kyle Roberts and #7The Iceman two spaces.
Three newcomers round out the best in the State: #8Everett Connors, #9Dave DeLorean, and #10Jayden Fenix. Fenix got a win over Leland Race, but Connors lost his most recent match and DeLorean… well, it’s not clear if the former Black Hand Warrior even plans to wrestle again. What does this madness mean?
Men like Dirden, Sydal, Outlaw, and Gary Jackson had established dominion over Missouri for years. That castle has crumbled and the field is wide open for new contenders. Throw in the National Wrasslin’ League wildcard and it will be exciting to see what 2017 will bring.
